Who would have thought that a fraternity founded on the principles of inclusivity would become a leading force in the world of brotherhood? Right here at 6455 North Lakewood Avenue stands the Delta Sigma Phi house, a testament to a century of brotherhood. Delta Sigma Phi has a unique and inspiring origin story. Born in 1899 at the City College of New York, it distinguished itself as the first fraternity founded on the radical idea of religious and ethnic acceptance. This was a time when such differences were often met with division, making Delta Sigma Phi a true pioneer of inclusivity. The fraternity’s commitment to “building better men” is evident in its 100-plus years of existence. Delta Sigma Phi continues to foster strong bonds of friendship, encourage academic excellence, and inspire its members to make a positive impact on the world.
