This gallery, located on the first floor, boasts a spacious 537 square meters filled with exhibition areas, studios, and playful spaces. Deák Ferenc utca, established in 1789, was a vital artery connecting the city center to the riverside, even before the Lánchíd (Chain Bridge) existed. The street’s prime location attracted prominent architects, who designed remarkable buildings along its path. The structure at number 17, designed in 1912 by the renowned architects Révész Sámuel and Kollár József, originally displayed the ornate characteristics of German Jugendstil. While its facade has undergone several transformations, resulting in a simpler, modern look, the building’s historical significance is preserved. In the 2000s, extensive renovations restored its charm, ensuring it harmonizes with the surrounding area. Today, Deák 17 Galéria continues to inspire young minds.
