This unassuming shopping mall in the heart of Munich’s Haidhausen district actually houses the largest Media Markt in the world. This isn’t just any electronics store. It boasts a staggering 10,000 square meters of retail space, filled with a mind-boggling selection of around 100,000 products. Das Einstein opened its doors on May 14th, 2009. The opening was timed to coincide with the supposed 30th anniversary of Media Markt, although the first store actually opened a few months later in November. Das Einstein isn’t just about electronics though. It’s a bustling hub with a diverse range of shops, a spacious Edeka supermarket, a Fitness First studio, and even a food court.
