Beneath the tropical sun of Jakarta, a unique tale unfolds, a story of Darul Qoror. But this isn’t the Darul Islam of rebellions past. This Darul Qoror, a place of worship, echoes a different kind of devotion. A devotion to the Quran, to education, and to community. Let’s step into the world of Ustadz Yusuf Mansur, whose journey intertwines with the very foundation of Darul Qoror. In the early 2000s, Ustadz Yusuf Mansur embarked on a path of personal transformation, turning to the Quran for solace and guidance. His message of faith and charity resonated deeply within the community. It sparked a movement, a desire to connect with the Quran on a deeper level. This burgeoning community needed a home, a place to nurture their shared passion. A simple request from a visiting Ustadz H Ahmad in 2003 led to a pivotal moment. Ustadz Yusuf Mansur opened his home to a small group of students, sowing the seeds for what would become Darul Qoror. Initially, Darul Qoror existed within the walls of Ustadz Yusuf Mansur’s home, a testament to his dedication. As the community grew, so did their need for a dedicated space. A beautiful location called Bulak Santri, with existing classrooms and a spacious mosque, became the new home for Darul Qoror. This marked a significant step in its evolution. In 2005, under the newly formed Yayasan Daarul Qur’an Indonesia, Darul Qoror expanded its educational offerings. The establishment of SMP Islam Daarul Quran marked its formal entry into the educational landscape. The PPPA Daarul Qur’an, a non-profit organization, was launched in 2007, further solidifying Darul Qoror’s commitment to community and education. Darul Qoror isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a beacon of knowledge, a testament to the power of community, and a living embodiment of Ustadz Yusuf Mansur’s vision. It stands as a reminder that even amidst the bustling metropolis of Jakarta, spaces of devotion and learning can flourish.
