Danegrove Primary School actually operates on two sites. Foundation Stage and Year 1 are taught at Ridgeway Avenue. Years 2 through 6 are taught here at Windsor Drive. Windsor Drive school originally opened in August 1933. It was then known as Littlegrove Mixed School.

The Ridgeway Avenue site has its own unique story. The school buildings there were constructed from 1949 to 1950. Architects’ Co-Partnership designed them. They used a steel frame and precast concrete panels. Coloured panel infill added visual interest. The assembly hall once featured a mural by Fred Millett. He also designed for London Transport.
