The founders were a small group of believers with a big dream. Imagine starting a church with no pastor or building! They were truly dedicated to God’s glory. They held their first services in a large white house on Lovers Lane. As the church family grew, they added portable buildings to accommodate everyone. The church’s early days were filled with vibrancy and activity, from Sunday school and choir practice to family dinners and sports leagues. Dallas Park Baptist Church has always been about building community. It’s a place where members find fellowship, support, and a true sense of belonging. In 1954, construction began on the beautiful sanctuary building. Even as they built their new home, the church remained focused on outreach. They helped establish new churches and provided unwavering care to their members. They even started an innovative early childhood education program.
