From its humble beginnings in a Mount Maunganui living room in 1999 Curate Church has grown. This Auckland branch at 44 George Street Kingsland is a testament to that growth. Curate Auckland opened in March 2021. It’s the result of a dream to bring the unique Curate experience from Mount Maunganui to Auckland.
The church’s vision is simple. It’s to pursue Jesus’s way and participate in His story. Curate Auckland believes in agape unconditional love. They strive to live this love out in all they do. This includes loving God Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It also means loving others as themselves.
Curate isn’t just a Sunday gathering. It’s a whole family affair. There’s a full kids program for ages one to thirteen. Parents can participate in the gathering while caring for babies and toddlers in a dedicated parent’s room.
The church emphasizes spiritual growth. This involves communal and personal practices. These practices help people connect with God’s grace. They help shape lives to be more like Jesus.
Curate Church sees itself as a family a whānau. It’s a place of belonging where people support each other. It’s also a place of honesty and vulnerability. Members share their real lives struggles and triumphs. They support each other in their journeys of faith.
Curate Auckland isn’t just about Sundays. Their website encourages anyone with questions to contact them. They welcome those interested in Jesus those who are new to their faith and those relocating. They believe everyone has a place in their story. Curate Auckland is a church with a vibrant history a strong vision and a welcoming spirit. It’s a place where faith community and personal growth intertwine. It continues to write its next chapter here in Auckland.
