What if your education could pave the way to a brighter future? That’s what Cristo Rey Jesuit High School has been doing since its doors opened in 2007. This remarkable school, nestled in the heart of Minneapolis’ Phillips neighborhood, is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a beacon of hope for students from low-income families, offering a unique blend of rigorous academics and real-world work experience. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is part of the nationwide Cristo Rey Network, inspired by the pioneering Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago. This model stands apart. Imagine a school week where students spend four days in the classroom, grappling with challenging coursework, and then, one day a week, they step into the professional world. Students don business attire and head to paid internships at some of the Twin Cities’ top companies. That’s the innovative Cristo Rey Work Study Program in action. The program not only helps students earn a significant portion of their tuition but also exposes them to diverse career paths. It empowers them to envision a future brimming with possibilities. From classrooms to boardrooms, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is preparing its students not just for college, but for life.
