This is the Crest-Moore King United Methodist Church, a place of worship with a rich history. It wasn’t always known as Crest-Moore King. This church was originally established in 1973 as a small, burgeoning community of faith. They were scattered throughout the city, coming together to pursue a common goal: to foster spiritual growth and embody Christian values. The first name they adopted was ‘Crest-Moore’, chosen to reflect their desire for unity and shared purpose. However, the church didn’t stop there. Later, it expanded further, welcoming more individuals into its close-knit community. This led to the addition of ‘King’ to their name, a testament to their desire to honor and celebrate their expanding community. Today, the Crest-Moore King United Methodist Church stands proudly in its own building, a constant reminder of their journey and testament to their enduring mission.
