As part of a grand regeneration project for Pennywell and Muirhouse, a brand new Craigroyston Community High School was built just a stone’s throw away on Pennywell Road. And who better to officially open it than Sir Tom Farmer, a true icon of Scottish entrepreneurship? Now, the old building, it met a rather dramatic end. Just a few months after the new school opened, it was ravaged by a fire, leaving behind only memories and stories whispered through the generations. Today, Craigroyston Community High School stands as a testament to resilience, community spirit, and the power of looking towards a brighter future.
