The architects described the house as a cave with a tarpaulin. It is a place to sit at the open cave mouth and build a campfire. It is a retreat from the elements.
Interestingly, Connells Bay Sculpture Park is located at 142 Cowes Bay Road. It features a collection of modern sculptures in a garden. Tours are available from October to April.
