Covenant Presbyterian Church in Singapore extends a warm invitation to all. We encourage you to discover a community deeply rooted in faith. Every Sunday offers different services. These include Mandarin, English, and Sinhalese services.
The church is currently engaged in a year-long study of the book of Acts. This explores how the early church embodied God’s kingdom values.
Pilgrim Covenant Church. Though distinct from Covenant Presbyterian Church, it shares similar theological roots. Pilgrim Covenant Church’s story began on July 4, 1999. It started as a small congregation. They were covenanted to serve and worship the Lord. They saw themselves as a branch of the body of Christ. They desired to grow into a Presbyterian fellowship of congregations.
Both churches find guidance in the Bible. They consider the Bible the inspired Word of God. For them it is without error. They believe it is the primary means for life change. They regard it as the supreme authority for doctrine, life, and church practice.
Both churches believe in the Holy Trinity. This is one God existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. Through His obedience, death, and resurrection, He atoned for the sins of those who trust in Him. The Holy Spirit empowers believers. He gives them strength and wisdom to follow Christ.
Covenant Presbyterian Church adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith. It also follows its larger and shorter catechisms. This church is part of the Presbyterian Church in America.
Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church shares these beliefs. They are rooted in Scripture. Their doctrines are outlined in the Westminster Confession of Faith. Members come from diverse backgrounds. These include Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and Baptist traditions.
Covenant Presbyterian Church believes salvation is by grace alone. It is through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. God chooses those He will save based on His grace, not human merit. There is no salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ.
The church sees itself as a covenant community. Within it, God’s grace is available. This is through preaching, teaching, and the sacraments. These sacraments are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Christians are encouraged to unite with a local congregation.
