June Fisher, a former headteacher became President of the National Union of Teachers. In September 2006, the school started admitting boys into Year 7. It then became Catford High School. The move to a new building marked another milestone. The final phase was becoming fully coeducational. This coincided with the name change to Conisborough College.

Do you know Darko Gyabi? He is one of Conisborough’s brightest talents. In 2018, he signed with Manchester City Football Academy. He had previously been with Millwall Youth FC. Darko joined Conisborough in 2014. He was quickly drafted into the Elite Sports Extra-Curricular Programme. His skills were spotted during a PE lesson. Today, Darko is a midfielder for Manchester City U18s. He also plays in the England U16s team.

Conisborough College has seen changes over the years. The school has a capacity of 948 students. As of December 2022, the enrolment was about 850. In May 2018, Ofsted rated the school as “Requires Improvement”. The school’s URN is 100742. It does not have a sixth form. Conisborough College is a non-selective school.

The school’s story includes Angela Scattergood and Gloria Lowe who were Governors. They served until March 30, 2024. Conisborough College continues to evolve. It provides education and opportunities for its students. It shapes future generations in Lewisham. The college closed on March 31, 2024. It was reopened as an academy on April 1, 2024.
