“Ever heard of Val de Bièvre?” I ask. “It’s a tale of unity and progress south of Paris.” The Communauté d’agglomération du Val de Bièvre existed in the Val-de-Marne department. It was in the Île-de-France region. This story is about how cooperation shaped communities.

The Communauté d’agglomération du Val de Bièvre focused on the environment. It planned to reopen the Bièvre River. This showed its commitment to a green future.
However, the Communauté d’agglomération du Val de Bièvre was dissolved. This happened on December 31, 2015. It was due to the creation of the Métropole du Grand Paris. On January 1, 2016, a new chapter began. The CAVB became part of the Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre public territorial establishment.
