This sparked the life of the original Coal Creek town. The mine here pulsed with life from the 1880s, fueling progress and community. This lasted until 1958 when the last embers of the mining era faded. Coal Creek Community Park & Museum captures this spirit. Established in 1974 on 15 hectares, this open-air museum breathes life into the past. In 2014, Coal Creek Community Park & Museum earned its accreditation as a museum. Now, it serves as a vibrant hub. It’s a home for local groups, a center for education, and a gathering place for the community. Throughout the year, Coal Creek Community Park & Museum hosts events.
