Hidden amongst the modern structures of Kgs. Lyngby, a short drive north of Copenhagen, lies the Classic Car House. It’s not just a museum; it’s a time capsule. The Classic Car House showcases not just cars, but the cultural history that shaped them. The building itself blends car iconography with the elegant style of Danish villas from the turn of the last century. This creates a unique architectural marvel. Inside, you are greeted by innovative analog, mechanical, and digital displays. Captivating films, lights, and sounds enhance the experience. The Classic Car House offers 25,000 square meters of classic car heaven. This includes a stunning collection of over 300 iconic cars. You can explore interactive exhibits. A particular highlight is a display case showcasing 100 meticulously crafted 1:18 scale models of Le Mans winning cars, one from each year of the race. This pays tribute to Denmark’s own Tom Kristensen, a nine-time Le Mans winner. The museum also features racing cars, various Ferraris, American muscle cars, and a large collection of European vintage cars.
