City Impact Church started in 1982. Founding Pastors Peter and Bev Mortlock began services with a small group. They met in a tiny hall on Auckland’s North Shore. Their vision far surpassed the limitations of that small space. It grew into the thriving church it is today. Thousands strong with campuses worldwide.

Lead Pastors Joe and Racquel Manase carry the torch. They continue the legacy of faith and community. Their vision is to see everyone encounter God. They want everyone to find their home in the church and experience God’s goodness. They’ve witnessed miracles and God’s faithfulness. They look forward to what He has in store.

City Impact Church isn’t just about Sunday services. It’s a vibrant community. There are programs for all ages. City Impact Kids offers jam-packed programs for younger children. They reach out to local communities in practical ways. The church’s national outreach program is extensive. It provides support across New Zealand. It also has an international reach. Missions extend to India Mexico the Philippines Tonga Thailand Nepal Israel Tanzania China and Fiji.

City Impact Church also operates a school. It provides a Christian education from primary to secondary levels. The school was even temporarily closed then reopened after addressing registration issues with the Ministry of Education. It’s a testament to the church’s commitment to education and faith. There are also childcare centers connected to campuses in Auckland Queenstown and Balclutha. These centers offer high quality care for children. Many of the teachers are qualified.

City Impact Church isn’t without its controversies. It has been involved in activism. It publicly opposed same-sex marriage. There were also controversies surrounding a poll manipulation attempt.
