Churchill Park School faced a devastating setback in 2011. A fire destroyed the library and ICT facility. The school community rallied together. They rebuilt these essential resources. Now, state-of-the-art library and computer facilities are available for students. This resilience reflects the school’s motto, “Stand Tall.”

Churchill Park School is known for its high academic achievements. This is confirmed by positive reports from the Education Review Office. Beyond academics, the school fosters a vibrant environment. Students can explore their talents through extracurricular activities. They can learn musical instruments like drums, guitar, or piano. They can join the choir or band. Sports enthusiasts can participate in netball, water polo, rugby, and soccer. Churchill Park School teams have even competed in the Auckland Championships. The annual cross-country race around Churchill Park is a highlight for the students.

The school community is divided into four houses. These houses, Rimu, Kauri, Kowhai, and Pohutukawa, compete for the House Cup. Each house has two student captains elected by their peers. This friendly competition adds another layer to the school’s dynamic atmosphere. Churchill Park School also champions environmental sustainability. Their efforts have earned them the Enviroschools Gold Award. The school boasts a worm farm, a vegetable garden, and a student-planted wetland area. In 2010, students planted native trees around the school grounds. Environmental messages, like “I Only Drain Rain,” adorn the stormwater drains.
