Journey with me back to 1956. A small group of believers gathered in Richland Hills, Texas. They dreamt of a church that would reach far beyond their community. This was the humble beginning of Church On the Hill, originally known as the Richland Hills Church of Christ. Now, Church On the Hill isn’t actually on a hill here in Dallas. The original church and its campuses are located in North Richland Hills, Southlake, and West Fort Worth. Church On the Hill’s vision expands beyond its current locations. They have plans to spread their message to Dallas County. This church isn’t confined by walls or geography. Their online campus and extensive missionary work testify to that. Church On the Hill supports 30 missionaries across 23 countries. They have also helped plant 41 new churches. Their impact ripples across the globe, touching lives in diverse corners of the world. This church, with a membership of around 8,000, operates on an annual budget of $13.5 million. This budget fuels their various ministries. These range from children’s programs to missions, from young adult groups to special needs support. Their mission is simple: to make and grow followers of Jesus. Since 2016, Church On the Hill has witnessed over 1,755 baptisms. These baptisms represent lives transformed by faith. They are a testament to the power of their message and the dedication of their community. Though rooted in the Church of Christ tradition, Church On the Hill defines itself as nondenominational. They believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They see the Bible as God’s inspired word. They emphasize baptism as the beginning of the faith journey. And they believe in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Is it possible for a place to hold so much history in just one acre? You might not think so,
