The Church of the Living God has a rich history. It all began in May 1889. William Christian founded the church in Wrightsville, Arkansas. He wanted to preach the word of God. He wanted to encourage men to become Disciples of Christ. Promoting welfare and uplifting humanity was also important.
The Church of the Living God believes in one true God. This God is the creator. They believe in the Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one. Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of mankind. He died and rose again. He ascended into heaven. Jesus is the door to eternal life.
