It became a vibrant congregation in the Dallas Metroplex. Now, over three hundred individuals gather to praise God.

Initially, they met at hotels and other churches. After three months, they secured space. This was at the Park Plaza Tower in Dallas in July 2013. In May 2018, Harvest Church of God secured a permanent home in Rowlett, TX.

Turning Point Church, another Church of God in the area, has a rich history. Founded in 1934, it began as the Dallas Church of God. G.B. Burnes was the pastor. There were 12 charter members. The meeting place was on Commerce Street. The church moved several times in those early years.
In 2012, Turning Point Church voted to sell its property. They sought to relocate. They wanted a location with more traffic. In 2013, they changed their name to Turning Point Church. In 2015, Turning Point conducted its first service in DeSoto.
