What began as a small Bible study now stands as Christ’s Gospel Fellowship. This international non-denominational church started in the Philippines. Peter Tan-Chi founded it.
In 1982, the story of Christ’s Gospel Fellowship began. Peter Tan-Chi held a home Bible study. It was in Brookside Subdivision in Cainta Rizal. Only three couples attended. They invited friends. Soon, the garage was too small.
Two years later, a core group emerged. Forty people mostly business professionals formed it. In August 1984, they founded Christ’s Commission Foundation. The first Sunday worship service was at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati.
Continuous growth led Christ’s Gospel Fellowship to relocate several times. Services moved to Greenbelt in Makati. Then it was a conference room. Eventually, they met at the Philippine International Convention Center Plenary Hall in Pasay.
In 1997, Christ’s Gospel Fellowship moved to St. Francis Square in Ortigas Center Mandaluyong. This was the main worship center until the CCF Center was completed.
On May 12 2013, Christ’s Gospel Fellowship held its first Sunday worship service. It was at the new CCF Center in Frontera Verde now Ortigas East in Pasig. The building has eleven stories. It can seat 10000 people. Nick Vujicic’s Unstoppable tour also took place there that month.
By 2013, Christ’s Gospel Fellowship had 38 satellites in the Philippines. Eight were abroad. There were 46 congregations with 40000 members.
In 2016, the Dangerous Drugs Board chose the church. It was to offer a spiritual rehabilitation program for drug addicts. This was part of the Philippine drug war.
By 2019, Christ’s Gospel Fellowship had over 100000 members. There were 70 satellites in the Philippines alone. Satellite churches and small groups exist worldwide. They are in North America Australia the Middle East and Asia. Christ’s Gospel Fellowship has also helped form small groups in East Asia. Over 12000 house churches and small groups exist in South Asia.
In 2020, over 55000 people attended the CCF Center. Christ’s Gospel Fellowship is focused on global impact. It transforms lives families communities and nations. All this is for the glory of God.

Christ’s Gospel Fellowship faced controversies too. In 2014, an executive pastor dressed as an Arab suicide bomber. This caused online controversy. In 2016, Peter Tan-Chi’s offshore bank account was implicated in the Panama Papers leak. The CCF Board defended the use of offshore accounts.
Today Christ’s Gospel Fellowship continues to grow. It sends missionaries. It shares the Gospel globally. It makes Christ-committed followers.
