Christian Liberty Academy

Tucked away in Arlington Heights, a suburb of Chicago, lies Christian Liberty Academy. It’s more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a testament to a vision, a dream of a pastor named Paul Lindstrom. In 1968, he opened the school’s doors in the basement of the Church of Christian Liberty. Sixty children filled the space, eager for an education grounded in faith. Christian Liberty Academy quickly outgrew its humble beginnings. The school expanded to include a high school program within three years. Even a new wing of classrooms couldn’t contain its growth. Providence intervened in 1985. The school acquired the former Arlington Heights High School, a sprawling 210,000-square-foot campus on 12 acres. This new home allowed Christian Liberty Academy, its homeschooling program (Christian Liberty Homeschools), and the Church of Christian Liberty to flourish together. Today, Christian Liberty Academy serves around 400 families. It offers a challenging curriculum from preschool to 12th grade, shaping young minds and hearts. The school’s mission goes beyond academics. It aims to nurture students’ faith, preparing them to serve in God’s kingdom. The school’s roots are firmly planted in the Reformed tradition. Its statement of faith emphasizes the Bible’s authority, the Trinity, Jesus Christ’s divinity, salvation through the Holy Spirit, and the resurrection. Christian Liberty Academy offers a vibrant student life. There are sports teams, music programs, clubs, and group activities. Students can explore their artistic talents in art history, choir, band, and theater. They also have opportunities for spiritual growth through mentoring, Bible studies, and service projects. Even practical skills like culinary arts, sewing, auto shop, and woodshop are part of the curriculum. Christian Liberty Academy is more than just a school.
