Founded in 1890, Christ Episcopal Church stands in the Bishop Arts District. This is in the heart of North Oak Cliff. The church faces the challenges of homelessness and food insecurity. Mental instability and the working poor are also challenges.
Christ Episcopal Church believes in salvation through Jesus. God’s grace extends to all people with no exceptions. The church joins Spanish and English speakers into one body. It is a very special place. You are welcome.
For over eight years, the church has run “Lunch with Christ”. Volunteers prepare sack lunches. These are distributed to anyone in need. Last year, they gave over 3,000 lunches. Christ Episcopal Church also organizes Thanksgiving dinners for neighbors. They serve those living in poverty. They feed the hungry.
Christ Episcopal Church offers worship in English and Spanish. There are services on Sundays and Wednesdays. Sunday services include Choral Eucharist. There is also a Children’s Chapel. Christian education is available for all ages. Spanish services take place at 12:30 PM on Sundays. Wednesday services include Lenten Study and Said Eucharist. Potluck dinners offer fellowship.

Lay pastoral care is available along with Eucharistic Ministers. The church has Daughters of the King and a choir. A Brotherhood of St. Andrew chapter exists. Bible study and youth groups meet regularly.
