Was Chorleywood always a separate parish? Not quite. Christ Church Chorleywood began as part of Rickmansworth parish. In 1845, Chorleywood became its own ecclesiastical parish. This change followed the construction of Christ Church Chorleywood itself.

In 1880, a description noted that Christ Church Chorleywood featured a nave, chancel, north aisle, and tower. It had fine stained-glass windows. There was a richly decorated chancel roof. A beautiful altarpiece depicted the adoration of our Lord. The church also boasted a good organ.

Today, Christ Church Chorleywood continues to serve its community. You can attend traditional Holy Communion. There are also family services and contemporary worship gatherings. The 8:30 am service offers hymns and a sermon. Holy Communion is shared in a liturgical setting. The 10:30 am Family Service blends contemporary and traditional elements.
