The inscription reads, “To the Glorious Memory of / JOHN L CATON. TEACHER / & OLD SCHOLARS OF THIS SCHOOL / WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1918”.
