Did you ever hear of a small church with a big heart? Right here in Chelsea, the Chelsea Community Church of Christ embodies that spirit. For nearly a century, this church has been an integral part of the community, witnessing the changing tides of time and adapting to the needs of its people. The Chelsea Community Church of Christ isn’t just a building. It’s a lifeline. It recognizes the increasing societal pressures, the high rents, the low incomes, and the unemployment that can cause people to slip through the cracks. It opens its doors to everyone, offering a warm embrace and a sense of belonging. At its core, the Chelsea Community Church of Christ strives to be a living example of the love and care exemplified by Jesus Christ. It caters to people of all ages and abilities, fostering a diverse and inclusive community. On Sunday mornings, the church comes alive with traditional services. Worship songs fill the air, scriptures are explored, sermons are delivered, and Holy Communion is shared. On the fourth Sunday of each month, the church hosts a community lunch, creating a space for deeper connections and shared experiences. Fridays offer a moment of reflection with a half-hour prayer meeting. This is followed by a Women’s Only Bible Study, a time for tears, laughter, and shared exploration of faith. Adrian Turner, married to Robyn for 45 years, serves as the Intentional Interim Minister. With two children who have followed teaching careers and six grandchildren, he brings a wealth of life experience to his role. He has dedicated over 40 years to pastoral ministry. His journey has included leading a church plant in Monbulk for seven years and serving as Senior Pastor in Albury/Wodonga for ten. He also oversaw Pastoral Care and became Missions Pastor at Careforce (now Discovery) Church in Mount Evelyn for seven years. The Chelsea Community Church of Christ invites you to step inside, experience its warmth, and become a part of its vibrant community.
