Was this grand Château de Pivot once just a humble hunting lodge? It’s true. The Château de Pivot started its life in the 16th century as a place for noble hunts. Imagine the excitement and anticipation as hunters gathered here, preparing for their expeditions into the surrounding woods. Over the centuries, the Château de Pivot went through several transformations. In 1775, it was acquired by the Countess of Brionne. This remarkable woman was also the owner of the Limours county. Her son, the Prince of Lambesc, eventually sold the Château de Pivot in 1817. You might notice that the architecture of the Château de Pivot hints at its various stages of development. The current château is not the original structure. It was built between 1830 and 1850 on the site of the old manor. Imagine the changes that took place during that time, the old giving way to the new. Eventually, this grand estate came into the possession of César Trépagne. He was the mayor of Forges from 1859 to 1881. The Château de Pivot stands today as a testament to the passage of time. It whispers tales of hunting expeditions, noble families, and the changing landscape of France.
