Built between 1675 and 1683 by the renowned Jules Hardouin-Mansart for the Duc de Chevreuse Colbert’s son-in-law the Château de Dampierre is more than just stones and mortar. The Château de Dampierre’s journey isn’t over. In 2018 Franky Mulliez acquired it. He embarked on a massive restoration project. This is one of the largest restoration projects ever undertaken on a private historical monument in France. The restoration is not only preserving the building but is also enhancing its cultural and historical significance. The park’s reopening in 2019 marked a new chapter for the Château de Dampierre.
