The first class graduated in 1993 marking the beginning of a legacy. Today Champlin Park High School stands as the third-largest high school in Minnesota. Its large student body reflects the diverse population it serves.
Champlin Park serves students from Champlin Brooklyn Park Brooklyn Center and Dayton. It offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. This program enriches the academic experience. Michael George leads Champlin Park High School as its principal. His leadership guides the school.

The Champlin Park High School orchestra earned a spot in the Field Studies International Band and Orchestra Festival in 2009. They performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The choir program includes Concert Choir Treble Choir Varsity Choir Bel Canto and Con Brio. The school also boasts six bands including Symphonic Band Concert Band Varsity Band Jazz Band Marching Band and Pep Band.
In February 2012 Rolling Stone published an article involving Champlin Park High School students. It addressed suicides in the Anoka-Hennepin School district related to LGBT students.
