From the bustling energy of Palma, we arrive at a place where the future takes shape. This is the Centre d’Educació Infantil, Primària i Educació Secundària Obligatòria Son Quint. This integrated center provides education from early childhood through secondary school. The Centre d’Educació Infantil, Primària i Educació Secundària Obligatòria Son Quint is located in the northern part of Palma, in the Son Rapinya district. It consists of two separate buildings with independent entrances. Early childhood education is housed on Llac Enol Street, while primary and secondary education are on Catalina March Street. Although some levels are split, the Centre d’Educació Infantil, Primària i Educació Secundària Obligatòria Son Quint operates as a single-track school. Parents can schedule meetings with teachers on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. All absences and late arrivals must be justified in writing. School trips are mandatory. They are part of the annual curriculum and contribute to the students’ learning experience. Parents or guardians need to sign authorizations and pay fees by the deadlines set by the school. Homework is encouraged at the Centre d’Educació Infantil, Primària i Educació Secundària Obligatòria Son Quint. Parents can monitor assignments through the school agenda, which requires daily signatures for all primary school students. Every Wednesday, all students have fruit for their morning snack. This initiative promotes healthy eating habits. To avoid lost items, labeling belongings is highly recommended. Unclaimed items at the end of each term are given to Caritas. While medication should ideally be taken at home, if necessary during school hours, a medical prescription and signed authorization from parents or legal guardians, specifying dosage and timing, are required. Punctuality is emphasized, with school starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. Students in grades 2 to 6 enter and exit through the main entrance, accompanied by their teachers. All students enter the school unaccompanied. Parents are asked to refrain from visiting students through the playground fences during break times. Forgotten snacks can be delivered to the main entrance. The Centre d’Educació Infantil, Primària i Educació Secundària Obligatòria Son Quint serves as a vital part of the community. It nurtures young minds and prepares them for the future.
