Did Isaac and Susana ever imagine their beloved Casa Isaítas would become a haven for travelers from all corners of the world? Here at Casa Isaítas, in the heart of Pájara, Fuerteventura, their legacy lives on. Casa Isaítas isn’t just a rural hotel. It’s a testament to the enduring spirit of family, tradition, and architectural preservation. The original owners, Isaac, known as Isaítas, and his wife Susana, poured their hearts and souls into restoring this beautiful ruin. With the help of their three children, family, friends, and local masons, they painstakingly revived Casa Isaítas. The two-year renovation respected the original stone structure. They refurbished the existing wooden balconies, doors, and beams, incorporating centuries-old features into the new design. The result is a seamless blend of old and new. Spacious rooms offer a comfortable retreat, all while preserving the traditional Canarian architecture. Casa Isaítas opened its doors to guests in September 2001. Since then, it has offered a tranquil escape for travelers seeking a home away from home. Each of the four double bedrooms boasts a private bathroom and satellite TV. Two rooms offer double beds, while the other two have twin beds. An extra bed and a cot are also available. But the true heart of Casa Isaítas lies in its communal spaces. The interior patio is an oasis of calm. It’s a place where you can soak up the sun, enjoy the fragrant vegetation, or simply relax with a good book. The cozy lounge and library, nestled under a rustic wooden roof, is an invitation to unwind and connect with fellow travelers. And then there’s the restaurant. Surrounded by stone walls and furnished with dark wood, it offers a taste of authentic Fuerteventura. The menu features traditional dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Imagine savoring a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, local goat cheese, homemade pastries, and bread drizzled with olive oil. This is the Casa Isaítas experience. A place where history whispers through the stone walls, where comfort and tradition intertwine, and where the warmth of Canarian hospitality embraces you like a gentle island breeze.
