The choir’s singing is Spirit filled. It is full of God’s anointing power. The youth have a genuine interest. They are “on the move” for the Lord. This church offers something for the whole family.
Calvary Temple Community Church welcomes everyone. It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey with God. The church is not concerned with your past. It is focused on your future.
The church has several weekly gatherings. Sunday School starts at 8:30 am. Sunday Service and Children’s Church begin at 9:30 am. Bible Study is held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm.
Calvary Temple’s mission involves winning souls. The Bible is their creed. The cross is their message. The Holy Spirit is their power.
The history of churches is often difficult to trace. Many began as prayer meetings in homes. These meetings occurred long before formal congregations formed. This was the case with another Calvary Temple, where home services started in 1932.
Two years later, they purchased a house. It became known as Grace Chapel. In 1950, Grace Chapel was sold. Calvary Temple opened at a new location shortly after.
New families are joining the ministry. There is positive growth. New ministries are blossoming here. Families connect with one another. Many salvations and baptisms are celebrated.
The church is active in world missions. Teams travel the globe. They share the good news everywhere. Calvary Temple anticipates all the Lord has in store for them.
Reverend Alvin Jordan Sr. and Sister Carolyn Jordan lead here. Several sisters assist in ministries. These include Sister Phyllis Graves and Sister Sherry James. Also involved are Sister Angela Douglas, Sister Josephine Smith, and Sister Tesha Thompson.
