Under Abdulhamid II, the Büyük Mabeyn Köşkü hosted official gatherings. It also welcomed important visitors. Imagine the Köşk bustling with dignitaries.

In 1884, Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria-Hungary graced these halls. He came with his wife Princess Stéphanie of Belgium. Later, in 1889, German Emperor Wilhelm II was received here. These visits underscored the Köşk’s importance.

The Büyük Mabeyn Köşkü boasts a grand courtyard. A double staircase with crystal balustrades leads to the Saltanat floor. This design mirrors the Dolmabahçe Palace. It evokes a sense of majesty.

Esteemed painters’ canvases adorn the walls. These staircases were reserved for state officials. They led to the Sultan. They also served as protocol stairs linking the service and state floors.

Today, the Büyük Mabeyn Köşkü serves as a Presidential reception palace. It continues to welcome dignitaries. It stands as a reminder of Istanbul’s vibrant history. The Büyük Mabeyn Köşkü links the past and the present. It is an enduring symbol of Turkish heritage.
