The church’s mission is clear. They aim to make Jesus Christ known to the people of Burnt Oak. They run a weekly club for local children. A Mums & Toddlers Group is also part of their outreach. Pastoral Nursing is hosted on the first Saturday of each month. “Healing on the Streets” happens on the first and third Saturdays.
Burnt Oak Christian Fellowship began in the 1930s. Families moving from Wales to London founded it. As members of the Apostolic Church, they wanted to start a church in Burnt Oak. They first met in a rented club off Watling Avenue. Later, they built a church on Oakleigh Avenue. This is where it is presently located.
Pastor Paul Hughes currently leads the church. He works with a team of Elders. A wider leadership team exists. They lead various ministries. The church also has a Youth Worker and a Children’s Worker. Many members have moved into Christian ministry throughout the world.
The purpose of Burnt Oak Christian Fellowship is clear. They make Jesus Christ known in Burnt Oak communities. They want people to find fullness of life. This is in readiness for His return.
Their mission involves actively showing God’s love. This love was first shown through Jesus Christ. His life, death, and resurrection demonstrate this love.

David was ordained as a Pastor in 2008. He and his wife Sharon have been members for over twenty-five years. They moved to Burnt Oak in 1982. They felt led to find a local church. On their first visit, they experienced warmth. Burnt Oak Christian Fellowship became their spiritual home. Their two children also became part of the church. David also works as an After Sales Manager. He is a trained Counsellor.
The church has several weekly and monthly activities. KidzKlub is a popular event. The Ark Toddlers’ Group provides support for young families. Healing on the Streets offers healing and prayer. Time for Tea creates community.
At Burnt Oak Christian Fellowship youth events, young people meet. They learn about God through teaching and worship. Socializing and connecting with other groups are also important. These youth events are offered free of charge.
