“Build Your Wings.” This might sound like a motivational poster, but it’s the motto of Buckley Park College. Perched on Cooper Street, the college’s history stretches back to 1963, a time when Essendon was a different place. In those days, the area was teeming with young families, their aspirations soaring like the jets that frequently crisscrossed the Melbourne sky. The school grew alongside their aspirations, a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations of students. In the years since its foundation, Buckley Park College’s green, red, and gold colours have become synonymous with academic excellence.
The school has seen its fair share of changes, but its core values still hold true today. It fosters a culture of learning and achievement, where students are encouraged to explore their passions and talents. The college isn’t just a place for studying though. It’s a community where friendships are forged and memories are made.
Today, Buckley Park College continues to be a thriving hub of learning and development. The school, a medium-sized, single-campus co-educational institution, is home to around 900 students. Buckley Park College is the place where our future leaders are nurtured, and their wings are ready to take flight.
