The new tree house-inspired playground is a highlight. It features a play set for younger kids. The set includes two sets of racing slides. Buckhorn Park also has an area for older children. This area includes large hill-like climbing structures.

Kids can hop on the large round swing together. Many can play at once. There is an open grassy area for running. Buckhorn Park also has a baseball practice field. A basketball court is available too.

Huge canopies provide plenty of shade. They cover most of the playground. Several picnic benches are situated around the park. They are also in the center of the playground. This makes it easy to watch children playing.

It is important to watch out for open electrical boxes. These are within kids’ reach on several posts. The playground can get very busy. The school often uses it for recess.

Despite these minor issues Buckhorn Park is highly rated. It offers many play areas. The shaded canopies are a great feature. However the park can be busy and parking is shared. There are no restrooms available here. Buckhorn Park is a great place for families to spend time.
