He stumbled upon Buck Hill, on a remote farm owned by Grace Whittier, and convinced her to lease it to him. He founded Buck Hill, a haven for skiers, snowboarders, and others seeking adventure. Today, Buck Hill is a hub of activity, with 16 trails, three chairlifts, and even snow tubing.
The hill is a landmark, a place where generations of skiers have learned to carve down the slopes. Legendary racers like Lindsey Vonn and Kristina Koznick honed their skills here.
