Brunswick East offers more than just food and music. CERES Community Environment Park a 10-acre urban environmental center is a significant landmark. Brunswick East Primary School a long-standing institution opened in 1893. Its original bell tower still stands. The suburb also has several parks and reserves including Allard Park Anderson Reserve Jones Park Roberts Reserve and the Brunswick Velodrome. Many residents enjoy the Merri Creek Trail.
