“Six adults, three toddlers, and a charming French town?”. That was the start of our Christmas adventure in Brunoy. Brunoy is a peaceful community southeast of Paris. It’s about a forty-minute train ride from the city center. We chose Brunoy for its charm and its reprieve from the bustling city. We rented a lovely house just a short walk from the Brunoy train station. Our days were split between exploring Paris and enjoying the slower pace of Brunoy. Brunoy felt authentically French. The shopkeepers were incredibly welcoming. The restaurants served delicious food at reasonable prices. One of our most memorable experiences was discovering the Saint-Medard cathedral in Brunoy. Parts of this beautiful building date back to the 12th century. Imagine the history held within those walls! Brunoy was a delightful surprise. It was the perfect blend of French charm and peaceful escape, making our Christmas holiday truly special.
