Bridgetowne Viaduct is a vital part of the Bridgetowne township. This township is a 30.61-hectare development. It straddles the border between Quezon City and Pasig. The viaduct links the two sections of this development.
Before Bridgetowne, this area was mostly industrial. Robinsons Land Corporation transformed former industrial properties along the Marikina River. The Quezon City property was acquired in 2011. In 2019, the Bridgetowne Bridge opened to the public. It connected the Quezon City IT park to the new Pasig redevelopment site.
The Bridgetowne Viaduct has four lanes for vehicles. It also includes a lane for bikes. Pedestrians can also use a dedicated lane. This makes it easier for everyone to move between the two cities. It eases traffic, especially for those coming from the east.
Beyond its practical function, the Bridgetowne Viaduct also hosts The Victor. The Victor is a 55-meter-tall steel statue. It is designed by Filipino-American artist Jefrë. This colossal art piece is one of the tallest lighting projection installations in the world.
The Bridgetowne development has many features. These include office towers, residential condominiums, and a shopping mall. There is also a five-star hotel. All these are designed to create a self-contained community.
The bridge was master-planned by AECOM. Mañosa & Co. designed its architecture. Robinsons Land spent hundreds of millions of pesos on it. This investment improved connectivity within Bridgetowne.
On the Quezon City side, you’ll find the business hub. It includes BPO office towers. Soon, a world-class shopping center and a five-star hotel will be added here. The Pasig side features residential condominium towers. This creates a balanced community.
The first residential tower was Cirrus. It has 1,500 studio units. It was designed for BPO workers. The Velaris Residences is an upscale residential tower. It is a joint venture with Hong Kong Land.
