What happened to the original Brentham for North Ealing and Greystoke Park railway station? You might be surprised to learn that it was replaced by a power station. This station, Brentham for North Ealing and Greystoke Park, had a rather short lifespan. It first opened in 1911 as simply “Brentham.” The station got renamed a few times over the years, with additions to reflect the growing area. By 1932, it was “Brentham (for North Ealing)” and later became “Brentham for North Ealing and Greystoke Park.” Sadly, its run came to an end in 1947 when the Central Line was extended. The new Hanger Lane station took over, leaving the old station to eventually become “Brentham Power Station.”
