The Bourse de Commerce housed the Paris Chamber of Commerce for many years. The city of Paris sold the building to the Chamber of Commerce for one symbolic franc in 1949. Today, it’s a haven for contemporary art, home to the extensive private collection of French businessman Françios Pinault. Architect Tadao Ando, known for his minimalist designs and reverence for space and light, seamlessly blended the old and new, giving the Bourse de Commerce its unique identity.
