In 1809 eleven people united. They agreed on Baptistic principles. They embraced the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. John Morris became their first Pastor.

By 1817 they had bought land. The land was at the northeast corner of High Street and Maidstone Road. They paid £27-10s for it. A small chapel was then built.

More space was needed by 1890. The Sunday School grew. An upstairs school room was built.

In 1907 the church joined the Metropolitan Association of Strict Baptist Churches. It is now the Association of Grace Baptist Churches South East. Mr Bull was the Pastor. There were 55 members. The Sunday School had 136 children and 15 teachers.

Mr Eddie Porter became Pastor in 1980. He served until his retirement in 2001. He continued to serve as an Elder.

The Borough Green Baptist Church modernized in 2002. A modern kitchen and toilets replaced the outdoor facilities. An extension was added.

Pastor Timothy Reynolds joined in 2003. He and his wife Marjolein were welcomed.

The church celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2009. It was a milestone.

Timothy Reynolds retired as Pastor in 2016.

Bernard Roberts was inducted as Pastor in December 2020.
