Bluff View Park was established in 1945. For over three-quarters of a century, this park has provided a green space for locals and visitors alike. It is located at 4524 Pomona.
Did you know that Bluff View Park sits within the Bluffview neighborhood? This area gets its name from its unique topography. It features cliffs overlooking Bachman Branch and its tributaries. Some of these cliffs rise 50 feet above the water.
Bluffview itself has an interesting past. In 1924, a developer named J.P. Stephenson bought a 215-acre dairy farm here. He transformed it into Bluff View Estates with one-acre lots. Bluffview was annexed by Dallas in March 1943.
But back to Bluff View Park itself. Managed by the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, the park offers various amenities for everyone to enjoy.
