Birdville High School

Opened in 1999, Birdville High School stands as a testament to the ever-evolving spirit of education. It is the second newest school in the Birdville Independent School District. Birdville High School isn’t just a building. It’s a vibrant hub where students from grades 9 through 12 “Dare to Soar,” as their motto proudly proclaims. The school boasts a diverse student body of over 2,000 students, a testament to the community’s growth. Birdville High School is more than just academics. It’s a place where students discover their passions. The school offers a wide range of Advanced Placement courses, spanning from math and science to fine arts and computer science. Birdville High School’s TAKS scores often surpass both district and state averages. This speaks volumes about the dedication of the teachers and the hard work of the students. Beyond the classrooms, the roar of the crowd echoes at the Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletics Complex. This is where the Birdville Hawks football team charges onto the field, sharing the space with Richland and Haltom High Schools. The complex isn’t limited to football. It’s a versatile venue that also hosts soccer games and fine arts events. The baseball team calls the Hawk Yard home. From the basketball court to the volleyball net, the track and field, and beyond, Birdville High School cultivates a spirit of competition and camaraderie. Notably, the Lady Hawks Softball team clinched the school’s only State Championship title in 2016. Birdville High School is also known for its Mighty Hawk Band. They’ve graced the field with their performances every year since the school’s opening. Birdville High School’s legacy extends beyond the playing field and into the wider world. Its alumni include international soccer player Anthony Bardon, baseball player Clayton Beeter, former Texas House Representative Jonathan Stickland, and actor Logan Henderson, known for his role in Big Time Rush.
