Could a humble garage become a cornerstone of faith? Here at the Bilal Masjid Trust, the answer is a resounding yes. The story of Bilal Masjid Trust begins not with grandeur, but with a simple desire. A small community of Muslims in Greenford sought a place to pray, to learn, and to connect. Over 20 years ago, in 2003, the Greenford Islamic Welfare Association, now known as Bilal Masjid Trust, was born. Their first home was an unassuming garage tucked away behind the shops at 1290A Horsenden Lane North. As the community grew, so did their dreams. In 2010, they took a leap of faith, purchasing two shops on Horsenden Lane North. This marked a pivotal moment for the Bilal Masjid Trust, establishing a permanent presence in Greenford. The Bilal Masjid Trust didn’t stop there. They continued to expand, purchasing the neighboring shop in 2014, bringing their location to 82-86 Horsenden Lane North. A significant expansion took place in 2018-2019. Even the Imam’s accommodation became part of their vision. Tired of paying hefty rent, the Trust purchased a flat above the Masjid at 88A Horsenden Lane North in 2021. The Bilal Masjid Trust continues to grow and serve the community, a testament to the power of faith and the dedication of its members. From a small garage to a thriving center of worship, the Bilal Masjid Trust stands as a symbol of growth, resilience, and community spirit.
