How many stories can a school tell? Bialik College is more than just bricks and mortar. It is Melbourne’s oldest Jewish school. It started modestly as a Zionist Sunday school and kindergarten. That was back in 1942 in North Carlton.

Bialik College’s kindergarten was the first in Australia to use Hebrew for instruction. Imagine children learning in Hebrew so early. The local Jewish population grew. Bialik transformed. It became a modern and vibrant school complex. It now includes kindergarten, primary and secondary levels. The first Year 12 class graduated in 1990. That was a proud moment.
