Can you feel the energy radiating from this park? This is Beverly Park. It’s more than just a green space. Beverly Park is a tapestry woven from the threads of history and community spirit. Established in 1947, Beverly Park quickly became a beloved gathering place. It’s a place where children’s laughter echoes amidst the trees and the rhythm of life plays out in a hundred different ways. As you stroll through Beverly Park, take a moment to appreciate the memorial dedicated to Cpl. Conner T. Lowry. This brave young man, who tragically lost his life during combat in Afghanistan, wished to be remembered here. The bronze statue of a marine’s boots, rifle, and helmet, dedicated by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. Beverly Park. A place of peace, remembrance, and community.
