Bethany’s story is unique. It began with the merging of two historic congregations. Grace Methodist Church was founded in 1852. Epworth Methodist Church was founded in 1877. In June 1965 Bethany was formed. It was formed at the site of the Epworth Church. That site is at Clipper and Sanchez.
The church seeks to offer sanctuary. It strives to inspire personal transformation. It aims to foster a faith community. Bethany wants to engage locally and globally for social justice. All these things are guided by God’s radical love for all.
